???

the other day i found myself in my local Weekday/Cheap Monday store and just as I walked in the playlist had changed to a what I presume to be some dark (witchgaze?) Finnish rap. Don't quite know what they are saying but I must say the somber bass is addictive.

the actual song starts at around 0:35 ..just in case you're wondering wtf is the beginning about.

I'm new here

So i'm still not over the previous post..Jamie xx's Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1...therefore I must do a follow up.

I've been listening to this mix everyday and it takes up 2hours of my life (which I don't mind even though I should probably do something more meaningful..like study). I'm not sure why I got into this so much. Maybe I connected deep to the music selection or maybe it was just the bass-lines dropping at the perfect time. Obviously, BBC Radio doesn't broadcast locally where I live unless I tune in online or I get some sort of digital satellite radio so I didn't know about BBC R1's collaboration with some really cool and relevant artists.

SO, I am challenging myself to search for Essential Mixes that my favorite artists have done, listen and see if I will enjoy them as much as I did Jamie xx. (PROGRESS: James Blake has an Essential Mix :O ..)

Anyway, in Jamie xx's Essential Mix there is one song that I can't get out of my head and its a collaboration of Jamie xx and Gil Scott-Heron (a legendary American Jazzist). His slow, deep, husky voice just makes the song...as well as the bass drop!
